Context
Above the heart of small town Schwäbisch Gmünd, Baden-Württemberg, lies the so-called 'Hardt' – a neighborhood with different kinds of people: lower income households, rich families, refugee buildings and a university campus.
The image shows where information about the construction plans is displayed. The different information booths are evenly spaced – so that neighbors have to step out of their "zone" and get to know each other.
Strategy
The full plan visualized on a timeline.
Taking upcoming events into account – exploring easily accessible interaction points to inform inhabitants
Being present at regular intervals throughout the given time
Thinking in phases: what comes first, what follows?
Posters in the city
Posters featuring QR codes make the project accessible to a broad target audience – especially to less tech-savy citizens.
Flyer in the mailbox
Residents are directed to the digital participation platform via flyers and a QR code. This form of promotion is particularly effective for people who spend little or no time on social media.
Social Media
Transparency

Target audiences
Reaches both younger and older generations across various platforms.
Interaction

Quick response
